i LURVE dat movie!!
starting with the script itself..
its so simple yet.. so deep in meaning

d roleplaying was fabulous as well!
zhang ziyi was amazing playing sayuri!
all d way from ' d zoup iz too zalty' to this wonderful piece of art..
she has come along way!

mameha played by michelle yeoh was absolutely fantastic as well!
really brought out the feeling that she was looking out for sayuri...
elegant yet somehow motherly.. eloquoent yet somewhat adventurous in her ways..
throughout d entire movie there were these highlights to her hair.. gave a sorta angelic look from wad i perceived... nicee.. jus a particular line that seems to indicate that her story is also like that of sayuri's..

'We do not become Geisha to pursue our own destinies. We become Geisha because we have no choice' (mameha)

gong li roleplayed a perfect hateable person! hahaha..!! its very hard to do dat yet her act was so convincing... perfecto~~! d constant look in her eyes.. woah.. enough to make u feel like thowing something at her for doing so many things.. haha

ken watanabe from d last samurai was d chairman.. such a nice fella! haha... if everyone encounters a nice chairman who buys them a cone of shaved ice with cherry n sour plum flavours at least once in their lives.. i tink we won't be the same anymore..
makes me think that we don't have enough of such caring souls in d world anymore..
hu gives a hoot about a crying child nowadays.. at most they prob jus bring her to d information counter n dats it..

okay ya.. i lurve d movie! hahaha n i have yet to read d book... shall do it one of this days.. geishas are so mysterious.. been fascinated by them since 3 yrs ago when i first saw a movie about them.. that was by ozu n another by kurosawa so kinda a little slow n boring but they were still cool!

dumb rite.. but dats d sort of theings she drove us to do!
